Mrs Dalton says she will fight for all residents and their issues, believing the Murray electorate has been left to struggle on its own for years.
The upcoming election isn't the first time she has tried her hand at politics.
She wants constituents to know she will fight on their behalf, no matter their problem or issue.
"We're not getting our fair share for the seat of Murray … the big ticket items for me are health and water," Mrs Dalton said.
"The National Party have not represented this area properly. We have received nothing up until recently because we are now a marginal seat."
Throughout her professional career Mrs Dalton has worked as a farmer and teacher.
She sees the Leeton District Hospital as being one of the more important items on her agenda should she be elected.
Mrs Dalton said bringing the hospital back up to standard, having more doctors in town and restoring vital services were among the items she would be pushing.
"They've (the government) have systematically run down the Leeton hospital," she said.
"We need to return the hospital to I guess it's formal glory really. My mother trained in that hospital and she would be horrified to see it now.
"People in Leeton feel very let down by this."
Water and the Murray-Darling Basin Plan are also at the forefront of her campaign.
In the lead up to the election on March 23 Mrs Dalton is planning to speak with as many voters as possible.
"It's tough to make change and there will always be forces against you, but I think it is time for the political landscape to change," she said.
