Got a plan for the sport club? Have an idea to improve you organisation? Well, now is your chance to nominate to receive funds from the government to get it up and running.
Murrumbidgee Council is calling on community and sporting organisations to provide details on projects they would like included in applications for Round Three of the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities Fund (SCCF).
Mayor Ruth McRae said the council would like to hear from local organisations who have a project they would like to implement. She said this round will have an emphasis on youth-related projects, with 50 per cent of funding being allocated for those aged between 12 to 24 years of age.
"Projects may include developing new or upgrading existing infrastructure for young people or the general community," Cr McRae said.
"They may also be for capital works related to street beautification and other public places that promote the health, happiness and well-being of the community."
Cr McRae added the shire has a diverse range of community and sporting organisations across our area and are hoping to hear of a range of exciting projects on their wish-list.
To be considered in Council's applications for the Stronger Country Communities Fund, please email Council on firstname.lastname@example.org. Include details such as the project name, detailed description and plan, a clear and detailed budget and a plan of how data will be collected to evaluate the project. This information is required by August 9, 2019.
