The Canberra Raiders have stood down their star centre while they investigate the incident, which occurred just before midnight on Sunday, May 30.
It's looking unlikely he'll be available for the Raiders' clash against the Brisbane Broncos at Canberra Stadium on Saturday.
The Canberra Times revealed CCTV footage of the incident, believed to involve Scott and two other men at the nightspot, which is popular with Canberra athletes.
Scott appears to throw at least one punch at a patron, who is believed to have suffered a broken nose and concussion.
Security then removed the Raiders centre, who had been drinking, from the establishment.
It happened the day after the Raiders' last game before the weekend's bye, a 44-16 loss to the Sydney Roosters at Gosford.
The police weren't called to the incident and said they would only become involved if an official complaint was made.
"ACT Policing has not received an official complaint or report in relation to that matter," ACT Chief Police Officer Neil Gaughan said on Monday.
"We are obviously aware of media reporting. We have secured CCTV footage of the incident.
"If anyone wishes to come forward to make a complaint to police in relation to that matter, they are free to do so.
"We need a victim in this circumstance.
"We have seen the footage, which I think pretty much as has everyone on the east coast of Australia, but at this stage we don't intend to take any further action unless we receive a complaint."
MORE RAIDERS NEWS
Upon hearing of the incident, the Raiders notified the NRL integrity unit, which is also investigating the matter.
Any disciplinary action will be a decision for the Raiders board, which has had a low level of tolerance for off-field indiscretions - sacking Josh Dugan and Todd Carney in the past.
They stood by Scott last year after NSW police unlawfully arrested him when he was found asleep under a tree in Sydney's Moore Park following Australia Day celebrations.
The incident is another unwelcome distraction for the struggling Green Machine, who are in the midst of a form slump having only won one of their past eight games.
If Scott's stand down extends beyond this week, Raiders coach Ricky Stuart will need to find a new centre for the right edge.
Jarrod Croker (knee) could possibly return, although the Gold Coast Titans game in round 16 was thought more likely, while young guns Matt Timoko and Harley Smith-Shields could also be options.
Smith-Shields' recovery from a biceps injury was believed to be ahead of schedule potentially bringing him into the mix.
Winger Bailey Simonsson was also expected to be available after undergoing concussion protocols following the Roosters game, while Semi Valemei should be over his hamstring injury.
The Raiders will also welcome back star middles Josh Papalii (suspension) and Joe Tapine (knee).
It's believed Kokomo's has informally banned all Raiders players from the nightclub.
The Raiders issued a statement on the matter on Monday morning.
"The Canberra Raiders have been made aware of an alleged incident involving Curtis Scott," the statement said.
"The club has informed the NRL integrity unit and is working with them to investigate the incident.
"Until the investigation is complete Curtis has been stood down from all club duties.
"The Raiders will be making no further comment on the issue until the investigation is complete."
