A bus of women from Coleambally and Darlington Point made the journey to celebrate the occasion as part of a booked-out luncheon hosted by Murrumbidgee Council.
Attendees were treated to a talk from Australian Paralympian Dr Hannah MacDougall, who spoke to the crowd about ways communities can become more inclusive and connected.
Dr MacDougall said she was grateful to have the chance to speak to the attendees.
"The amount of strength in this room with all of these women is awe-inspiring," Dr MacDougall said.

Murrumbidgee Mayor Ruth McRae said the event was a great way to celebrate the amazing contribution women make in the community.
"It's especially important that we have events such as these when our community is facing so many challenges," Councillor McRae said.
"I would particularly like to thank our guest speaker Dr Hannah MacDougall, who gave an inspirational address, not only about her achievements in the elite sporting arena, but also the importance of recognising our strengths, wisdom, beauty and talent".
"This is crucially important at the moment with the drought and other issues constantly affecting our lives."
The luncheon was a free event which was supported by Murrumbidgee Council through the Australian Government Drought Communities Program.
